Obama’s barber can be found in Washington, DC, but we’re in Houston, and that’s quite a long distance.
On the bright side, there are Bayou City hairdressers and salons you can frequent if you’re hoping to channel your inner Michelle, including Salon Meyerland. The location operates 74 lounges under one roof in individualized private lounge suites, and 59 of them are black-owned.
“The pandemic, political climate and racial divide have stripped away our sense of normalcy,” said Salon Meyerland representative Trinita Toler. “In the current climate, it’s critical that support for black-owned independent businesses be highlighted.”
Salon Meyerland is rated the best salon in Houston for natural and relaxed hair.

Through excellent customer service, quality workmanship and products, and by following education and the latest trends.
