Emily in Paris, Season 2 Hair and Makeup Upgraded

by netflix Emilie in Paris is back on December 22 for a second season, and after watching the first 10 seconds of the trailer, you can be assured that we’re going to have a blast (or, at least, many drama). Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) returns to the small screen with her lavish outfits and ambitious eyebrows, and accompanied by her new best friends Mindy (Ashley Park) and Camille (Camille Razat). With Emily becoming a bit more acclimated to her “second home,” as she called it in an interview with POPSUGAR, Odile Fourquin, the show’s hair and makeup supervisor, said we can expect to see a look slightly. different and higher for Emily – as well as the rest of the cast.

Emily finally feels more at ease in France: she made herself nice with her boss, Sylvie, she found a hot new love (although controversial) and she refined her Parisian look. You’re going to see a lot more French influence in Emily’s hair and makeup in season two. “We are inspired by all actors from many media: magazines, fashion shows and a lot of Instagram,” said Fourquin. For Emily in particular, they also drew inspiration from Old Hollywood actresses Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot.

Instead of the cool-faced pink / mauve lip combo that Emily rocked repeatedly when she arrived in Paris, she “leans into Parisian beauty trends” like red lipstick, eye black liner and even pop colors on the eyes. But that’s not the extent of hair and makeup that we can expect in season two – we’ve got a few surprises. “[Look out for] diamonds on Emily’s hair for the Versailles fashion show, ”which takes place at the end of the season, said Fourquin. Mindy also has a drag queen hairstyle and makeup in store for us, and Camille went all out for her birthday. (We’ll give you a hint: blue eyeshadow is to blame).
